Field Notes
A tiny Swift app for capturing one-line observations during fieldwork. Offline-first, no accounts, exports as plain text.
Built for myself when I realised every existing note-taking app wanted me to think for thirty seconds before writing. Field Notes is one text field, one button, and a list of timestamps.
The goal was deliberate: an app that loses gracefully — drop it, lose signal, run out of battery — and never costs the user anything more than the half-second it took to tap the button.
